Aluminum is a material well known for its cutting properties, but it also damages easily and the high coefficient of thermal expansion can lead to warping. Nakata has designed a cutting environment that is well suited to the characteristics of aluminum, minimizing warping.

Parallelism, flatness, angularity, dimensional tolerance and other aluminum quality issues cannot be delivered with machines to a precision higher than one percent. It requires the technological expertise and experience at Nakata to accomplish that sort of quality.

The two photos on the right show a component for the table of an inspection device. The dimensions are 180 millimeters thick × 214 millimeters wide × 381 millimeters long, and the material is A5052. The upper parallelism and rear side angularity are accurate to one part in 100, and the dimension tolerance is two parts in 100. The technological capacity of Nakata is thus expressed throughout the product.
