Superfine and Thin-Shape Cut Machining Technology

The image at the top right shows a sample with an edge thickness of 0.2mm and 28mm-deep tapering ribs produced by cut machining. The image below that is of a module 0.2mm gear sample.

With cut processing, the thinner, deeper and finer the cut, the more difficult it is to execute. The type of work illustrated here cannot be performed successfully without a combination of extremely high-level practical know-how and technological prowess.

At Noda Giken, we are often asked from many quarters, including other companies in the same business, “What cutting method do you use?” We take this interest as a testimony to the excellence of the technology we have accumulated over the years.

What we care passionately about is to provide products and services that bring our customers real satisfaction.

Our everyday work is not limited to tasks that require high-level machining. Whether the job requires making extremely simple cut products or even rough products without tolerance instructions, regardless of the requirements, level of difficulty and price, we always do out best to tackle the task in front of us based on the application of our high-level basic technology.

3D Cut Machining of Aluminum and Magnesium

We hear a lot these days about machining manufacturers who are adept at precision cutting of nonferrous metals such as aluminum and magnesium. However, Noda Giken boasts technology that realizes precision 3D both-sided machining of these materials, something that many of the best nonferrous specialists have given up on. We are confident that we are one of the few manufacturers, not just in Osaka but throughout Japan that can successfully handle difficult tasks of this kind.

We receive numerous inquiries on an almost daily basis with regard to cases that no other company has been able to take on.

The photograph at the right shows a magnesium cut-machined product, while the photograph below that is of an aluminum cut-machined product.

Magnesium is one of the most difficult materials to cut accurately. Unless a host of conditions are met, including control over warping, return, bending, etc., it is impossible to complete the desired product. And since such machining also presents a problem in respect of the material’s flammability, many manufacturers are unable even to attempt the task.

Noda Giken is a highly unusual manufacturer that has cleared many hurdles to the practical application to the cut machining of nonferrous metals in addition to perfecting precision 3D both-sided machining to a level that is conventionally impossible even using multiple machines.
