Ceramic Coating Technology
Fine Coating, an Ultra-hard Ceramic Coating
Surface treatment technologies for dramatically raising the durability and abrasion resistance of precision parts and dies has become an indispensible part of improving productivity.
Kentech’s Fine Coating product is an ultra-hard ceramic coating independently developed with the use of vacuum dispersion technology to produce a carbide film with excellent surface adhesion. The surface hardness created is at least 3000 HV. By using heat treatment in an upstream process, warping and deformation is kept to a minimum. The primary uses of Fine Coating is in products requiring resistance to abrasion, burning and oxidation such as press dies, forging dies, casting molds and plastic molds.
They are dedicated to their academic partnership, working with the Faculty of Science and Technology at Ryukoku University on the R&D of Fine Coating. In 2002, they were selected by the Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation for a new technological research study.
In addition to their Fine Coating product, Kentech provides a variety of surface and heat treatments.
