One of the exhibits at Oi Nippon Tokoton Osaka, an event held at Osaka Castle Park on November 3, 2002, featured a giant okonomiyaki pancake, eight meters in diameter. Eight-Tech made the sheet metal used for frying, and the television broadcast network NHK covered the event. Ultra-thin sheet metal processing technologies can be applied to make miniature metal models.
When a small amount of salt is added to ordinary tap water and then electrolysis is applied, sodium hypochlorite is produced. Sodium hypochlorite becomes hypochlorous acid in water, a powerful disinfectant. It is known that a low concentration, hypochlorous acid kills E. coli, Salmonella, Legionella, adenoviruses (such as seen at swimming pools), Vibrio cholerae (cholera), microbes transmitted by water and most other pathogens.
Uses include:
- Kitchen hygiene and hand cleaning
- Sterilization of food and cooking implements
- Disease prevention in hospitals, baths
