"TAKECOAT" is a highly advanced rust and corrosion prevention system developed by Takenaka that achieves a low LCC (Life Cycle Cost).

While metals, which are used in all kinds of environments, are indispensable materials for human living, many metals have the drawback of being prone to corrosion when exposed to the elements. The conventional solutions to this problem including corrosion-resistant materials and surface treatments are not always satisfactory either in terms of cost or of corrosion resistance performance.

This is the background of Takenaka's development of "TAKECOAT", anti-rust/anti-corrosion surface treatment that exhibits a performance vastly superior to plating techniques and comparable to corrosion-resistant materials but at a much lower cost.
