Kyowa Gomu can provide special rubber-formed products that simultaneously combine different degrees of hardness by forming different materials, such as high-hardness and low-hardness rubber, using metal molds.

Since in such products the different materials are bonded chemically, there is no exfoliation or shedding of material. Also, since the process for making such integrated products has already been established, we can provide such products at lower cost.

At present, integrated two-layer products are employed for synthetic resin-made spiral and corrugated pipe. Typical examples of such products combine high weatherproof characteristics as well as very high-hardness rubber on the outside with anti-bacterial characteristics and low-hardness rubber that features good water stopping characteristics on the inside.

We can provide ultra-high hardness sponge-formed products that possess high hardness not in terms of sponge hardness but in the hardness of the rubber component, in addition to excellent sponge products featuring high precision in terms of both dimensions and hardness.

Ultra-high hardness sponge-formed products have hardness values of 90 or more as measured by a JIS-A hardness meter. In addition, such products have specific gravities ranging from approx. 0.40 to 0.65. Super-high hardness sponge is a special material combining hardness and strength with light weight.

High-precision sponge-formed products are products in which hardness dispersion, a factor that is considered difficult to control, is kept to a bare minimum. In comparison with the ¡Þ5 tolerance considered severe by the standards of the industry, our products boast a hardness dispersion tolerance of just ¡Þ2.5. In the radio control industry, where the attitude to hardness dispersion is severe, our products enjoy a 70% market share in Japan.
