Our Pretty Series is Driving the Progress of Packaging Materials

The bag manufacturing industry in Japan has a history stretching back about 40 years, and during that time there has been steady progress on a number of fronts. However, even today, bag decoration is still expressed almost exclusively by means of printing.

With the increasing use of ultrasonic technology of the past few years in a wide variety of products including washing machines, sewing machines, etc., we thought that it might be practical to use this technology in the bag field and began an R&D program. Conventionally, embossing is impossible to use on bags because the patterns are only a few microns thick. However, by using an in-house developed ultrasonic technology (patent obtained) we have succeeded in applying minute patterns on to bag surfaces.

For example, by embossing leaves using ultrasonic and mold techniques, we were able to create fresh color tones that allowed us to produce bags of a kind that never previously existed.

When we see products exhibited in shop windows, in many cases we see small volume items wrapped together in single packages. Because the contents are small, the packages tend to be of poor quality. But by using our Pretty Series such problems can be overcome and the products can be packed in style. Pretty Series packaging materials are ideal for gifts.
