Yamanaka Eng is the sole agent in Japan for DEFORM, a 3D-compatible
FE simulator developed by the US company SFTC Inc. DEFORM
is a plastic forming specialized simulator that has proven
its value as testified by its high popularity with a legion
of users and boasts a long history of excellent service.
Among the features of DEFORM are a powerful and easy-to-operate
user interface, a wealth of environmental settings, a rapid
development cycle and the capacity for flexible analysis
ranging from simple standard analysis to complex high-level
analysis. These features have helped make this simulator
an invaluable tool that is now in widespread use all over
the world.
Block forging is a forging forming method that employs
a complicated mechanism to enable manufacturing of high
precision and high value-added products.
Conventional press systems for block forging, which are
equipped with a hydraulic mechanism or with dies set using
a hydraulic device, are expensive to build and deliver low
productivity.
To overcome these drawbacks, we have developed a mechanical-type
block-forging device that is affordably priced and is capable
of high-speed production. This device can be operated in
the same way as an ordinary die set.
Besides being installable on a mechanical-type press without
the need for special facilities, this device is capable
of manufacturing high-precision forged products independent
of the precision of the press used.
