The AFC-SAF is a freezer-use frost-generation control system that is the only device of its kind in the world. It can control the build-up of frost in a freezer by making use of the physical characteristics of a special ceramic plate.

Because the system is capable of virtually halting the build-up of frost inside a freezer compartment, the number of defrosting operations can be reduced and the freezer's effective cooling efficiency can be improved. This stabilizes the freezer's internal temperature, saves electricity, prevents deterioration of the contents of the freezer, eliminates turnover accidents in the course of freezer interior work, and helps extend the effective working life of the cooling machinery.
