In 1971, Tenking became the first company to succeed in machine processing of video tape recorder VTR guide drums, thereby paving the way for mass production of these vital parts.

After our pioneering feat, a long list of manufacturers entered the field of VTR drum machine processing. As a result, VTRs, which until that time had been the preserve of TV stations and other professional users, rapidly became affordable enough to be used by private households.

And today, our products are still used in more than 10% of all new VTRs produced worldwide.
