Toho Engineering manufactures fuel parts for nuclear power plants.

Their main products include grids welded from thin plates of zircaloy and Inconel(R), Inconel(R) leaf springs, stainless steel and Inconel(R) springs, and other machined components made from stainless steel and zircaloy. Their materials and worked items are shipped as products after undergoing strict testing and inspection three-dimensional measurements, metallography, profile projection and tension testing. An additional service they offer is the heat treatment of Inconel(R) and stainless steel.

With their experience in testing and inspection work, Toho Engineering provides reliable tension testing and metallography as well as high-quality vacuum heat treatment.

After testing and inspection is done at each manufacturing process, the product lot is allowed to move to the next process. Although general equipment is used, many tests and inspections by special equipment are required. Most of the devices used in special tests and inspections are developed in-house or in collaboration with Toho Engineering’s parent company and customer Nuclear Fuel Industries.
