Founded in 1951 as Tamsui Machines, the company has since supplied more than 1500 testing devices to clients throughout Japan.

As the importance of quality became a focus, they began receiving a higher demand for material tester calibration to ensure traceability. Shortening their name to Tamsui in 1988, they continued to develop with a central focus on calibration work.

Using the expertise they have gained as specialists of testing devices, they have continued to grow with their strong connection to customers and a firm production base. In December 2007, they became the third company in Western Japan to become registered and accredited with the Japan Calibration Service System for their Rockwell hardness tester.
