Sun and K is further developing its network for trial, small-lot and volume manufacturing, partnering with financing and technical companies to create system that can handle any customer need.

Sun and K handles a wide range of services including software development, design and planning, resin casting, vacuum forming, surface treatment, steel reinforcement and metal cutting.

Small-lot injection molding with simple molds

Creating products using volume production molds is expensive and requires a long lead time. In response to customer requests for a solution for small lots with a short lead time, Sun and K has introduced a cassette technique to reduce mold expenses and shorten the lead time.
With the cassette method, the majority of the mold base is used as the standard mold piece, and only the form of the product is created as the new cavity portion. A sliding portion is adapted with an insert and moved vertically for removal on the cavity side and the core side. This makes it possible to thoroughly cut mold costs and production expenses in small-lot production. Any size of product can be accommodated either in-house or through one of their partner companies.
