After leaving Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. in 2011, I spent seven years working on the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)'s new business promotion project. Subsequently, I served as an industry-academia collaboration coordinator at the Tohoku University Institute for Materials Research's Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration Center and MOBIO. I gained extensive experience at Showa Denko (now ResonaC), ranging from research and development to product development and quality assurance. Following that, I began industry-academia collaboration activities in the nanotechnology field. After leaving the company, I worked at the Osaka University Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (academic) and the Osaka Institute of Industrial Technology (government), serving as a coordinator across industry, academia, and government for a total of 13 years. Since April 2026, I have continued my industry-academia collaboration activities at the Osaka Industrial Promotion Organization (MOBIO). Leveraging this experience, I will provide support that takes into account the perspectives of all parties involved, especially companies.

The "MOBIO Industry-Academia Collaboration Seminar" is held with the aim of introducing advanced research results from universities and technical colleges, helping to solve technical challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the prefecture, and promoting new human exchanges and joint research and development through industry-academia collaboration.

Q I want to talk to someone about a manufacturing challenge, but I'm not sure whether I should consult a university or technical college.
Please tell us your specific needs, such as "I'd like you to introduce me to a researcher specializing in XX" or "I'd like to request XX testing or analysis." We will introduce you to an appropriate university or research institution based on your needs.
Q Is there a fee for the consultation?
Consultations are free of charge. However, if the project develops into "joint research" or "contract research" with a university or technical college, fees will be incurred.
Q I'd like to know what kinds of research opportunities are available at each university and technical college.
Each university and technical college introduces its research projects on its website. MOBIO also distributes collections of research projects from universities and technical colleges.
