These include peak shaving, which uses commercial power in conjunction with the commercial power supply to extract power only when needed, and a UPS function that instantly switches over during power outages.
●Power control system technology
Even in the event of rapid and frequent voltage fluctuations, this system can automatically switch and control the power supply source in conjunction with solar power and batteries by pre-setting switching conditions.
By limiting the power generation to 10kW, we can keep costs down, and we also possess the technology to control a wide range of storage batteries, from lead-acid to lithium-ion batteries.

A small-scale energy storage system combining solar panels and batteries.
These are photos from a trip to Cambodia to investigate the power situation as part of a project commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At Tanabashi Electric, we not only provide goods to developing countries in Southeast Asia, but we also prioritize human resource development and capacity building to promote economic growth, with a primary focus on educating people in various electrical technologies. Currently, the "Power Control System" is in operation at the Tanabashi Electric Nabari Branch in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture.

● Challenges
The elements that generate electricity in solar panels are crystalline, and they can crack due to vibrations during transportation, etc. Naturally, when cracks occur, the power generation decreases, and the specifications listed in the catalog cannot be achieved.
●Image processing verification
By shining a special light on the panel surface and processing the image, cracks become visible. (JAXA patent) By inspecting the solar panels, homeowners can confirm the validity of the power generation capacity and gain peace of mind.

Tanabashi Electric's Nabari Branch (Nabari City, Mie Prefecture) holds an FA control (Factory Automation Control) exhibition every autumn. The number of exhibiting manufacturers and visitors has increased with each passing year, reaching 26 manufacturers and over 100 attendees in 2015. Various seminars by manufacturers are also held concurrently.
