We developed the world's first technology (film insert technology) to fuse film and polycarbonate together for integrated molding.
These sports glasses, featuring ultra-lightweight lenses that are approximately 10 times stronger than glass in terms of impact resistance, and employ highly abrasion-resistant, optically superior, distortion-free, high-precision lenses, are offered under the 'SWANS' brand for specialized use in fishing, golf, baseball, marathons, and other sports, along with ski and swimming goggles.
In addition to dustproof and light-blocking glasses, the company utilizes its manufacturing technology for plastic filters that control the wavelength of light to produce various laser filters, boasting a product lineup and technological capabilities that are among the best in the world.
In addition to eye protection, we also develop a wide range of respiratory protective equipment, from simple masks to dust and gas masks and powered air-purifying respirators, all under the "YAMAMOTO" brand.

TBR-FAN SYSTEM
The number of people who haven't had an unpleasant experience due to cloudy weather at a snow resort is practically zero.
The relationship between goggles and fogging is a long-running and complex issue.
SWANS has taken this problem seriously and developed the TBR system as one of its solutions. This system has a miniature electric fan installed inside the shell at the top of the frame that cuts off the intrusion of snow water, and it can efficiently ventilate the moisture that causes fogging inside the frame with a one-touch switch that is easy to operate even while wearing gloves.
Furthermore, fresh outside air can be drawn in through a large air intake located on the front of the frame to replace the moisture expelled by the fan.
The world's only, one-of-a-kind product equipped with an electric fan.
Winner of the Good Design Award.
SWANS SPORTS GLASSES
Swans sports glasses use polycarbonate lenses that have approximately 10 times the impact resistance of the glass used in space helmets. Their performance remains unchanged even in harsh temperature environments ranging from low to high temperatures. Furthermore, thanks to a world-first technology that fuses and integrally molds the lenses with a film, they are ultra-lightweight yet highly impact-resistant, scratch-resistant, optically superior, distortion-free, and high-precision lenses.
FUNCTION
• Blocks 99.9% of ultraviolet rays (UVA, UVB, and UVC).
• Polarized lenses reduce glare caused by the scattering of light rays.
• The water-repellent function instantly repels water droplets, ensuring clear vision even in bad weather or when sweating.
• The spherical curved lens conforms to the shape of the face, eliminating wind resistance and preventing wind from entering the lens, and preventing light from entering from the sides.

1) "Overglasses type" that can be worn over glasses: You can use it even over your own glasses!
2) Anti-fog "Shield Lens": Lenses are less likely to fog up even when wearing a mask!
3) Flexible frame that fits any face width: A perfect fit for a wide range of people, from women to men!
4) One-touch replaceable shield lens: Simply lift the fastener to easily replace the shield!
Goggles (non-porous) YG-5601
Infection control and dust control
This non-ventilated model can be used with large eyeglasses!
1) Non-porous type: The frame has no ventilation holes, preventing infection and the intrusion of fine dust and other particles from the outside.
2) Can be used with large glasses: Can be worn over your existing large glasses.
3) Choose from two types of lenses!
① PET-AF (Double-sided hard coating & anti-fog)
② AP (Outer hard coat + Inner anti-fog)
Top-class sports glasses favored by elite athletes.
By freely controlling light, they hold the top domestic market share for sports lenses.
Yamamoto Optical, founded in 1911, is a long-established company that will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary. Initially, it handled industrial eyewear products used in coal mines and other industrial settings, but its factory was completely destroyed in the war. After the war, it specialized its technology in niche areas such as aviation and sports goggles, and made a rapid recovery. Today, it boasts the top market share in Japan for goggles and sunglasses for fishing, skiing, motorcycling, golf, and other sports.
The company's core technology is "light control." "Controlling light with lenses requires a variety of technologies, from material selection to surface processing," says Managing Director Naoyuki Yamamoto.
For example, at a fishing spot, conventional sunglasses can obscure the fish due to glare from the water's surface. However, by using polarized lenses that absorb only the dazzling reflected light that causes glare, the glare from the water's surface disappears, and the fish become visible.
Furthermore, laser devices used in semiconductor factories and other facilities can damage the eyes if viewed directly. The company has also developed lenses that incorporate special materials that cut specific wavelengths of laser light, completely blocking the laser beam and protecting the eyes.
SWANS, a globally recognized brand of sports goggles and sunglasses, is highly regarded and used by top professional athletes in various fields, including marathon runner Yuko Arimori, golfer Ryo Ishikawa, and professional baseball player Yoshitomo Tani. Meeting the demands of these top athletes and continuously improving performance, the company has expanded globally for 40 years. They further increased brand recognition by supplying their products to Aamot, who won a gold medal in men's alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics.
In addition, they will open antenna shops called "SWANS Communication Centers" near their headquarters and in Tokyo (planned). Managing Director Yamamoto said, "We are confident that customers will be convinced by being able to see and touch the products in person."
Aiming to "create a safety culture"
The company's history, spanning nearly 100 years, is intertwined with the history of the evolution of materials used in lenses. First, it shifted from glass to plastic, and now it primarily uses polycarbonate, which combines strength and lightness. The fields it targets have also changed with the times, but recently it has been focusing on the health sector and is considering developing products for medical and welfare use.
As the company celebrates its 100th anniversary, it has adopted "Protecting For You (Creating a Safety Culture)" as its corporate message. Based on this, it has also begun developing dust masks and protective equipment. Executive Director Yamamoto says, "We completely narrow down our market, whether it's sports or industrial. We further specialize our functions within those markets and leverage our strengths, which is how we can survive." With unwavering conviction and technological capabilities, the company will continue to build its history.
