While there are many industrial cutting tool manufacturers, only a handful of them nationwide specialize in the corrugated cardboard industry. Kinki Hamono Kogyo is one of them, and it's the only one in western Japan. Although this means less competition, the company doesn't rest on its laurels, instead leveraging its "integrated production" and "unconventionally short delivery times" to boost sales.
"In the world of cutlery, meeting deadlines is notoriously difficult. With over 30 processes involved, including shaping, heat treatment, polishing, and sharpening, it was common knowledge in the industry that it would take one to two months to manufacture a single cutlery. However, this company has broken away from that, possessing the ability to complete a product in as little as a week."
"No other manufacturer in our industry keeps a constant supply of steel sheet material and handles all processes in-house. That's why we can deliver quickly. We've specialized in corrugated cardboard since our founding, because that allows us to pursue the real thing rather than doing a little bit of everything," says President Kiyoshi Agata. They also have extensive experience and technology in handling maintenance such as blade replacement and repair, and have put a lot of effort into strengthening their support system. In an era where corrugated cardboard is used in all kinds of logistics, they believe that the need for blades to cut and process corrugated cardboard will never cease.
