Precision forged parts

Since its founding in 1933, Fusarashi Co., Ltd. has continued to manufacture a wide range of parts by utilizing its cold forging technology to meet the diverse needs of its customers.

And now, as we enter the 21st century, what is required of Fuserashi has changed dramatically, from hardware to software.

In line with new themes such as environmental conservation, the development of IT, and the advancement of urban functions, the focus has shifted from parts that support functionality to parts that create value. The scope of work has also expanded from parts manufacturing to becoming a comprehensive parts manufacturer, becoming more sophisticated and complex.

—–Towards creating parts that connect to the future

Going forward, Fuserashi aims to contribute to society through "environmentally friendly cutting-edge technology."

That information technology is supported by microscopic precision.

Fusarashi manufactures micro-components such as pins and tubes used in the battery parts of mobile phones.

By maintaining microscopic precision, we have achieved mass production of intricate details that were impossible to process with conventional cutting methods. As a result, Fusarashi's micro-components have been recognized and adopted by manufacturers not only in Japan but also around the world.

Needless to say, this technology led to significant cost reductions and miniaturization, which gave a boost to its widespread adoption.

Micro-components play a key role in the development of the 21st century and are widely used in the IT field as components not only in mobile phones but also in information equipment, video equipment, AV equipment, and more.

Development that disregards the global environment is no longer acceptable.

One of the efforts to reduce CO2, a cause of global warming, is the practical application of HEVs (Hybrid Energy Vehicles). The batteries that play a central role in these HEVs, which are already on the roads around the world, are made using parts from Fuserashi for HEVs.

At Fusarashi, we develop these HEV parts using technologies such as cold heading and cold forging. Currently, we are working closely with our customers to refine the shape and materials to accommodate further rationalization and performance improvements, while simultaneously verifying cost benefits for full-scale mass production. We continue our research with the aim of supporting future "zero-emission vehicles" (cars that minimize environmental impact).

Batteries using Fusarashi technology serve as a replacement for lead-acid batteries and are widely used to improve our lives and the environment in devices such as rechargeable bicycles, cordless vacuum cleaners, and power tools.

The safety of the city is protected by advanced forging technology.

Among the requirements for buildings and structures that make up a city, safety and constructability are arguably the most important elements.

In particular, the joints between steel frames and beams used in reinforced concrete (RC) buildings can only be constructed from one side, requiring high safety and workability. However, until now, welding was the only way to perform this process. But welding requires skilled techniques and results in inconsistent finishes, making it inefficient, as it necessitates X-ray inspections.

To address these challenges, Fusarashi utilizes a more established technology as a one-side bolt, enabling even inexperienced individuals to fasten high-strength bolts from one side.

As a result, it has yielded many advantages, including improved seismic resistance of joints, reduced construction costs, shorter construction periods, and labor savings. Currently, it is widely used not only in the structural parts of buildings, but also in urban infrastructure applications such as bridge reinforcement and preventing the collapse of highway side walls, as a joining technology that combines the seemingly contradictory elements of high safety and ease of construction.
