Higashi-Osaka New Business Research Group Public Lecture: "Survival Strategies for Small Factories in an Era of Mass Business Closures"

Hamano Manufacturing, a small factory in Sumida Ward specializing in precision sheet metal processing, has overcome various difficulties, including the sudden death of its founder and the brink of bankruptcy due to a factory fire, to achieve a complete recovery with a 100-fold increase in customers and a 10-fold increase in sales.
Since then, the company has been involved in industry-government-academia-finance collaboration projects, including the deep-sea exploration vessel "Edokko No. 1," and the establishment of "Garage Sumida," a hub for manufacturing innovation. Its manufacturing approach, which goes beyond subcontracting and creates its own markets, has attracted global attention.

In this lecture, Mr. Keiichi Hamano, the company's representative, will speak about survival strategies in turbulent times.
