Osaka Prefecture provides comprehensive design support to small and medium-sized enterprises within the prefecture.
As part of this initiative, the Osaka Industrial Promotion Organization and Osaka Prefecture will co-sponsor the "Design Open College" to promote understanding of design and its business application among small and medium-sized enterprises, and to help them in their management. This time, we will be holding a seminar on the theme of "Character Licensing Business."

For this seminar, we have invited Mr. Yoshikazu Takai (Chairman and CEO of Kyoda Creation Co., Ltd.), a picture book author and illustrator with a proven track record in supporting corporate marketing, to be our lecturer. He will introduce and explain specific examples of how characters are an important factor in customers' purchasing decisions, and how the emotional value of characters, such as "healing" and "energy," can develop into a powerful business model and create a social phenomenon.
