The Resona Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Foundation and the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun established the "Small and Medium Enterprise Excellent New Technology and New Product Award" in 1988 with the aim of contributing to the technological advancement of small and medium enterprises and the development of Japanese industry. Since then, they have been recognizing outstanding "new technologies, new products" and "software" developed by small and medium enterprises every year.
This applies to products that were completed or launched during the two-year period from 2024 to 2025.
Approximately 40 awards were presented, including the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency Director-General's Award and the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan President's Award.
A certificate of commendation, a plaque, and a prize of up to 1 million yen will be awarded.
