Joined Nichimen Corporation (currently Sojitz Corporation).
During my 37-year career, I resided for 17 years in the former West Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United States (Los Angeles), and Hong Kong. Although I mostly dealt with textiles (fabric and clothing), I have experience with synthetic resins and food (including seafood) in Belgium and the Netherlands. In Hong Kong, was involved in operating a Shenzhen joint dyeing plant and experienced the ups and downs of working in manufacturing.

Masayoshi Kato

Joined Marubeni Corporation. Assigned to textile department.
During my 36 years at Marubeni, I worked a total of 18 years in Costa Rica (Central America) and Taiwan. I was appointed twice as chief manager of the distribution firm of the integrated textile plant’s joint venture company in Costa Rica. |

After retiring from Marubeni Corporation, I joined a company that manufactures and distributes environmental machinery (pressure washing machine and vacuum cleaner for business use). |

Appointed as chief manager at a Japanese die factory established in Mexico. We manufactured resin parts and distributed to electronic and auto parts plants in Mexico and the United States. Acquired ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certification. |

Takio Horioka

| April 1964 |
Joined Nissho Iwai Corporation (currently Sojitz Corporation). I was assigned to the textile head department and mainly traded apparel products and took part in third-country as well as domestic trade. I have experience in commercial trade with fifteen countries, and started a joint venture plant with a dedicated line for sewn products in Thailand, Korea, and Vietnam where manufactured items were exported to the United States and the former Soviet Union, and imported into Japan. |

Especially, in Germany, I did business trading as a branch manager. Since 1997, I was involved in sales and importing materials at overseas branch for cotton spinning. |
