TAKEYAMA RECORDER WORKSHOP

Product line

Wooden recorders

Description of business

The familiar recorder played in music lessons was originally made from wood. Its history is long, and can be traced back to the Middle Ages. Takeyama recorders are a brand recognized the world over, and we are a pioneer of wooden recorders in Japan. A single Takeyama recorder requires two to five years to make. Each instrument is created by a team of eight craftsman and undergoes more than 60 processes. Takeyama recorders are treasured by players across the globe, from beginner to professional players. A showroom (Anrieu Recorder Gallery) and Takeyama Hall are located on the same premises as the Takeyama Recorder Workshop, and we host a variety of events, including recorder lessons and concerts.
